It was luverly – at least on Saturday. I love when the weather dudes mess up in my favor. I’m less than impressed when a predicted sunny day turns out to be gloomy, but I am utterly and completely a happy camper when a gloomy day turns out to be glorious. On Saturday I was a happy camper – literally!
The water is cold, way cold – hell, the ice just disappeared. Even so, the dock is in the water ready for us to tie up boats. The swim raft is not in the water – nobody wanted to actually go INTO the deeper water to set it out. That will come in a few weeks. The plane slip is all set for the peeps that fly up. There is a ton of wood standing by for summer campfires. The new deck is almost completed. Life is good – life is ready for another summer in Minnesota. They are short so we savor them with gusto.
I have no funny stories. Alas, I didn’t take any wild tumbles into the cold water. I didn’t get attacked by a wandering bear. I wasn’t chewed on my hordes of hungry mosquitoes. Instead, I enjoyed sitting by a campfire and watching the stars and satellites. I am always amused to sit by a fire on a cool night because my backside gets chilly while my front is toasty warm. I find myself rotating to keep my body evened out.
For now, it’s back to the grindstone. It’s going to be a hectic week. Midquarter grades are due, purchase orders need to be completed, Babycub has JOs, I have school stuff going on all weekend, and I’m way behind on correcting. I am soooooooooo ready for the school year to be done!
Peace
